Cook the Oats
1. Combine the quick oats, water, milk, and salt in a medium saucepan. Mash half of one banana and stir it in for natural sweetness and creaminess.
1 cup quick oats,
1.5 cup water,
0.5 cup milk,
0.5 piece ripe bananas,
1 pinch salt
2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often, until thick and creamy.
3. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract, half of the ground cinnamon, and half of the creamy peanut butter. Let stand for 1 minute.
4. Slice the remaining bananas. Divide the oatmeal between two bowls and arrange the banana slices on top.
1.5 piece ripe bananas
5. Warm the remaining peanut butter for 10 seconds in the microwave so it drizzles easily, then spoon it over the bowls. Finish with the honey and a dusting of the remaining ground cinnamon. Serve immediately.
