  1. Glass Preparation
    1. Place a stemmed martini or coupe glass in the freezer to chill while you prepare the drink.
  2. 2. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a shallow dish. Remove the chilled glass, dip the rim lightly in the chocolate syrup, then slowly rotate the glass inside the dish to create a thin, even chocolate rim. Optionally, drizzle a few decorative lines of chocolate syrup inside the glass.

  3. Shaking the Cocktail
    3. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
    1 cup ice cubes
  4. Main
    4. Add Baileys Irish Cream, vodka, orange liqueur, a small splash of chocolate syrup, and heavy cream to the shaker.
    2 oz Baileys Irish Cream, 1 oz vodka, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, 0.5 oz heavy cream, 1 tbsp chocolate syrup
  5. Shaking the Cocktail
    5. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold and frosty.
  6. To Serve
    6. Strain the cocktail through a fine strainer into the prepared chocolate-rimmed glass, letting the foam form a silky layer on top.
  7. 7. Garnish the surface lightly with grated dark chocolate and serve immediately.
