1. In a bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, and milk. Add the flour, salt, and softened butter and mix until a sticky dough forms. Coil fold the dough several times, then cover and let it rest for 20 minutes. Coil fold again, cover, and let rise for 1½ hours or until doubled in size.

2. Meanwhile, prepare the apple filling. Add the diced apples, butter, brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to a pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and all the liquid has evaporated. Let cool completely.

3. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Sprinkle a good amount of brown sugar mixed with cinnamon powder over the bottom of the pan.

4. Roll the dough into a large rectangle. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon powder, then spread the cooled cooked apples evenly on top.

5. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 6 large cinnamon rolls. Place them in the prepared pan.

6. Cover and let the rolls rest for 15–20 minutes.

7. Before baking, pour heavy cream over each roll.

8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.

9. As soon as they come out of the oven, cover with a clean kitchen towel and let them cool until warm.

10. Beat the softened cream cheese with softened butter until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until creamy and smooth, then spread generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.
