Ice Cream Base
1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 2 minutes.

2. Add the blue gel food coloring to the mixture and whisk vigorously until the color is uniform and a vivid dinosaur blue. Adjust with an extra drop or two if you want a bolder shade.

3. Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe container or loaf pan, cover tightly with plastic wrap, and freeze for 45 minutes until the edges begin to set.
Churning & Freezing

5. Return to the freezer, uncovered, for another 30 minutes. Repeat the fork-stirring process two more times at 30-minute intervals (total freeze-stir cycle: about 1.5 hours).
6. After the final stir, cover the container and freeze for at least 1 hour until firm but still scoopable. If frozen solid overnight, let it sit at room temperature for 5–8 minutes before scooping.
