Build the Base
1. Finely dice the onion and mince the garlic. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5–6 minutes until softened and translucent. Add the garlic and smoked paprika and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
2. Pour in the vegetable broth and stir to combine, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the pan. Add both cans of cream of corn and stir well to incorporate. Bring the soup to a gentle simmer over medium heat.

3. Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season generously with salt and black pepper to taste.
