Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Simply download the nom app from the iOS App Store and sign in using Apple Sign In. Your account will be created automatically on your first login.

Is nom available on Android?

nom is currently available only on iOS. We're working on bringing the app to Android in the future. Stay tuned!

How much does nom cost?

nom is free to use. Basic recipe generation, meal tracking, and discovery are available to everyone.

AI Recipe Generation

How does the AI chef work?

Chat with our AI assistant to describe what you're craving, what ingredients you have, or your dietary preferences. The AI will generate personalized recipes tailored to your needs.

Can I edit AI-generated recipes?

Yes! All recipes can be edited. When you edit a recipe, we create a new version while preserving the original. You can restore previous versions at any time.

How accurate is the nutritional information?

We use advanced AI to match ingredients with our nutrition database, but values are estimates. For precise nutritional needs, consult a registered dietitian.

Can I import recipes from websites or photos?

Absolutely! You can import recipes from URLs, Instagram posts, or photos of recipe cards. Our AI will extract the ingredients and instructions automatically.

Meal Tracking & Nutrition

How do I log meals in my diary?

Navigate to the Diary tab and tap the "+" button. You can log recipes from your saved collection, search for foods, or take a photo of your meal for AI-powered logging.

Can I set dietary restrictions?

Yes! Go to Profile → Edit Profile. Under the "Health Profile" section, you can set dietary restrictions, allergies, and nutrition goals. The AI will consider these when generating recipes.

How do I track macros and calories?

Your diary automatically calculates nutritional totals based on logged meals. Tap on any day to see detailed breakdowns of calories, macros, and micronutrients.

Account & Privacy

How is my data protected?

We use industry-standard encryption and secure cloud storage. Your data is never sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Profile → Edit Profile, scroll down to the Account section, and select Delete Account. This will permanently delete your data within 30 days.

Can I export my data?

Data export functionality is coming soon. Contact our support team if you need your data immediately.

Technical Issues

The app isn't loading. What should I do?

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If the issue persists, try restarting your device or reinstalling the app.

Photos aren't uploading. How do I fix this?

Check that nom has permission to access your photos in Settings → Privacy → Photos. Also ensure you're on a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

I found a bug. How do I report it?

We appreciate bug reports! Email us at support@nom-ai.app with details about what happened, including screenshots if possible. We'll investigate and fix it as soon as possible.
